Hola! I am Vanessa Parra, a Travel & Hospitality Marketer and Social Media Career Coach. As a first-generation Mexican-American, I did everything I was supposed to get that dream job in Marketing. I was the first in my family to receive a bachelor’s degree. Yet I struggled because not only did I graduate during a recession back in 2011, I had no network or mentors with similar backgrounds, personally or professionally, that could guide or help me along the way. It took me a bit longer to land that first job in social media. After much trial and error and working as a recruiter and in Human Resources, I finally figured out the right strategy to get more interviews and get that social media job.

My mission is to help marginalized communities market their businesses. As well as help those interested in becoming a Social Media Manager speed up the process and land that first social media job.
